Written against the backdrop of the global pandemic, this term paper, “Five ways to shape the economic and ecological environment on the island of Tenerife in times of a global pandemic and beyond,” outlines five business ideas for the island’s post-COVID recovery, combining circular-economy thinking with concrete proposals.
Programme
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 edition was conducted entirely online, without travel to Tenerife. As part of it, students joined a “Knowledge-Huddle” (K-Huddle) on 26 November 2020 (6–9.20pm, via Zoom and Padlet), organised by the discourse organisation GRASPnetwork, working in four break-out groups on business ideas and hurdles for the island.
